Founded by William 'Billy' Skelly, a dedicated paramedic with over 17 years of experience, our academy is built on a foundation of real-world expertise and a commitment to excellence in First Aid training.

Meet William 'Billy' Skelly

Billy's journey in the medical field began in 2006 when he joined NSW Ambulance as a paramedic. Since then, he has provided frontline care to countless individuals, both in emergency and non-emergency settings. His extensive experience includes medical retrieval, health-related transport, and accurate assessment of patients' needs, all while adhering to the highest standards of care. His dedication to serving the community has earned him several accolades, including the Pandemic Service Medal (2022), the National Medal (2021), and the NSW Premier's Bushfire Emergency Citation (2019-2020).

In addition to his paramedic role, Billy has been a First Aid Trainer and Assessor since 2018. He is passionate about educating others and has successfully facilitated the development of competencies that meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. His track record of delivering comprehensive training programs and conducting assessments speaks volumes about his commitment to equipping others with life-saving skills.

Billy's dedication to service extended beyond Australia when he took on the role of Pilgrimage Medic for Sydney Catholic Schools in 2023. Traveling through Italy and Portugal, he was responsible for the care of over 600 students, teachers, and staff during World Youth Day, providing essential first aid and consulting with local hospitals.
